Hajj & Umrah

Every year, millions of people from all around the world do Hajj, an annual religious pilgrimage to Mecca. This year’s Hajj will take place between June 26 and July 1, 2023. Umrah is a pilgrimage that can be performed at any time of year.

The Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council is the only legal entity approved by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to arrange the hajj pilgrimage.

The Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council has already begun registration for the projected 15000 pilgrims for this year at 18 registration centers around the country.The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia require certain mobile applications be downloaded and used to request the issuance of permits for scheduled times to enter holy sites.
